“I have been meeting with Dave Brunelle for about 4 months for life coaching at this point and time and I have thoroughly benefitted from my time with him. Dave has served as a wonderful coach during a significant season in my life. I have been traveling through a season of weighty decisions recently, and he has been an integral component of my sanity as I’ve traversed through these life stages. I am very grateful to him for that. Dave is extremely professional and yet very relatable. While his role as a “coach” in my life has remained foremost, he is also someone that I consider a friend. He has shared his life in order to aid me in understanding and interpreting my own life. I have appreciated this about him throughout these past months. One of Dave’s most helpful skills is the ability he has to ask quality questions. I have seen the fruit of this in my own life. His questions have helped me to understand my own heart and what I believe God has called me to do in this life. I am very thankful for Dave’s questions and can confidently assert that in this regard, he is certainly above average. What often came from Dave’s questions was a plan of action. After each coaching meeting I had something that to do. I was so thankful for this, because it proved to me that his questions were not meant being asked for mere intellectual reflection, but they were instead meant to lead me to a place of action. I am also very thankful for this. Therefore, I would highly recommend Dave Brunelle as a life coach to anyone that I know. He has greatly served me, and I have tremendous confidence that he will serve many others as a life coach.”
“My wife and I started meeting with Dave Brunelle for coaching to help process some weighty decisions that were impinging on our life. We were in the middle of thinking about a pursuit of higher education, discerning when to start having kids, and trying to synthesize these desires with our dream of moving internationally. To be honest the complexity and interconnected nature of these decisions felt paralyzing and impossible to untangle. I am happy to say that we are reaping the benefits of meeting with Dave and the help that he offered through our coaching sessions. From the very beginning we really valued the gentle manner in which Dave interacted with us. There was never a moment while we were talking about our plans or lack of plans that we felt judged. Dave offers a particular warmth in his character and personality that can set you at ease even when discussing complex issues that you are just beginning to understand. I can remember numerous times where we ended up laughing together over coffee. When meeting with Dave you quickly come to interact with his humility and authenticity of investment into your success in reaching your determined goals. Dave exemplified this over the whole stretch of our coaching times, but one particular meeting stands out in my memory. Dave took the initiative to track down two of his acquaintances to set up meetings for us to get expert input on engineering doctoral degree programs and international ministry. Dave recognized he did not have the level of knowledge or experience to help wade through some of our questions and was quick to offer the resources and connections he did have to help fill the gap. A main component of our coaching times was setting goals. I typically dislike setting goals and our coaching sessions were no different; however, we are grateful for Dave’s coaching in this regard. It was a great benefit to our lives to set goals and to report back on our action steps during each session. He helped us to chart out the small steps so that we could make incremental progress towards understanding our options and making our decisions. Dave was great at striking a balance of pushing and asking questions to help us develop these goals while allowing us to remain in control of determining what was most important for us to make progress on. In addition to providing space to discuss and wrestle with our dreams we learned about listening. Dave would graciously point out how my wife and I responded to different questions and helped us to pick up on details and language that we would have missed apart from his attention. We are confident that our marriage has benefited from the skills we picked up in our coaching times with Dave. We would strongly recommend Dave as a coach to any of our friends. We really value the time we spend with Dave and found those times to be very helpful in making progress towards our goals.””
“I went into my coaching experience with Dave with few expectations, as I had never done something like this before. But after going through more than one coaching experience with Dave, I can confidently say that choosing to give him a call and set up that first meeting was one of the best decisions I have made. I have come out of my coaching time with Dave with more confidence (in many areas) and better equipped professionally, emotionally, and spiritually. Dave has walked through some rough times with me and has helped me grow in so many areas of my life (career searching/investigating, self awareness and emotional awareness, my relationship with God, my marriage, leadership, interpersonal relationships, biblical manhood, and spiritual disciplines to name a few). Dave shows you grace when you need it, he gets tough and (sometimes fiercely) challenges you when you need it, and also offers wisdom and advice (both biblical and personal) when you ask for it. Dave celebrates with you in your wins and reaffirms you with truth in your losses, while loving you all the same throughout. Some of these coaching outcomes were things I hoped for during my time with Dave, others were more of a surprise, but what I didn’t expect, is to come out of my coaching experience with a great friend and brother in Christ. If you’re looking to grow and develop personally, relationally, or spiritually, I highly recommend that you give Dave a call.”
